We chose to go with BAL lawyers (Ida Lam specifically) at the advice of our real estate. She was amazing, but unfortunately she left just after we bought our house. We were passed onto another lawyer who completely dropped the ball. We were continually following up with him, and if our broker and real estate weren’t so helpful, settlement would have fallen through. On settlement day we were still getting calls and messages advising that documents we had sent days prior hadn’t been received correctly. They were providing mis information, forgetting to send important documents and appeared disinterested in the whole process.
