Find Lawyer AU (findlawyerau.com) is an independent legal services directory operated by Selim Akcan ([email protected]). This policy sets out how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Nothing in this policy, or elsewhere on this website, constitutes legal advice.

1. Automatic data collection Our servers log routine technical details for every visit — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps. These logs exist to detect abuse and maintain site security; they are not used to build profiles of individual users.

2. Data you provide If you email us, we use your address only to answer your message. We do not sell or share it, and we do not maintain a mailing list.

3. Source of law firm profiles Listings for law firms, family lawyers and criminal lawyers — including firm name, office address, phone number and reviews — are sourced from publicly available Google Maps entries. This is business information, not personal data about site visitors. A firm wishing to correct or remove its profile should contact [email protected].

4. Cookies and advertising Advertising supports the free operation of this directory. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests. You may adjust these preferences at adssettings.google.com or disable cookies in your browser at any time.

5. Access, correction and complaints You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. If a complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

6. Third-party websites Links to law firms' own websites and to Google Maps take you to services governed by their own privacy terms, over which we have no control.
