It is a full-service law firm. The firm offers full indemnity and fidelity insurance. It provides regular SMS updates to clients. It is fully licensed to provide all services required to transfer title in property.
A dedicated team is available to clients even if their solicitor or conveyancer is with another client. Satellite offices have been opened on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie and in the Hunter Valley. These satellite offices are designed to be mobile sites where conveyancers see clients at their home within business hours. On several occasions, Vickie failed or refused to send correspondence that I had expressly instructed, including emails necessary to clarify inaccuracies, address misunderstandings, or progress negotiations. This lack of communication hindered my ability to resolve the matter efficiently and contributed to increased conflict with the other party. In an effort to reduce legal costs, I requested that all correspondence be consolidated and sent at the one time. However, this approach was not followed. Instead, I was billed for multiple separate correspondence emails, despite my clear instructions to minimise costs. A notable example was the handling of the business valuation. I ultimately spent more on back-and-forth correspondence concerning the valuation than the actual cost of obtaining the valuation itself. This further undermined my confidence in the management of my matter and the financial efficiency of the representation. As a result, I concluded that a fixed-fee lawyer was a more appropriate and reliable option, and I changed legal representation accordingly.
