Go To Court Lawyers (Melbourne) holds a 4.4-star average from 367 reviews, the widest spread of experiences among the higher-volume firms in this list. A cluster of reviews describe frustration with a paid initial consultation — one reviewer says a 15-minute consultation was cut short once it became clear they only wanted advice rather than to pursue a claim, and others describe consultations that felt rushed or unhelpful relative to the fee charged. Against that, other reviewers, including one whose traffic offence was thrown out, praise solicitors Ty McLeod, Kirsten and Deike for clear, patient explanations. Prospective clients should go in with a clear understanding of what the consultation fee covers.

4.4 / 5 · 367 totalZERO TRUST, ZERO EFFORT! Our appointment with Tendayi of GTC on 29 July was an absolute train wreck. She arrived very late without offering any apology or acknowledgment of the delay. From the outset, the session lacked structure, direction and any sense of professional control. Straight away you could feel this person does NOT have your back. We left feeling no compassion, empathy or genuine care. The advice we received came across as unnecessarily alarmist, overly critical and designed to provoke anxiety rather than provide balanced, thoughtful guidance. There was zero evidence of professional skill or bedside manner in how conclusions were delivered. Much of the advice felt generic, superficial and no more insightful than something generated by ChatGPT. In fact you could tell she was reading off a screen that produced ai responses for her. Lazy & sloppy. Overall, Tendayi appeared ill prepared, disengaged and uninterested throughout the appointment. The session felt flat, uninspired and far below the standard we expected from someone offering a professional legal service. We cannot recommend her at all based on our experience. AVOID!
All they were after was the $295 consultation fee. After paying nothing happened and Jen the receptionist went out of her way to block any communications hanging up on me twice while I was trying to work out what was going on. Make sure you don't go through what I did and find a repretable firm. The worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company.
We had the pleasure of being legally serviced by solicitor Ty McLeod from Taylor Rose Australia. Mr. McLeod demonstrated efficient legal skills, and high knowledge of legal matters. He's also proactive in his actions to serve the best interests of his clients. Most importantly, Mr McLeod has excellent inter-personal and communication skills, that boosts the confidence of his clients, and helps them make informed decisions. We thank GTC for referring us to Ty McLeod.
Ty McLeod was amazing. Assisted me in having my traffic offense thrown out when I was suspecting the worst. Could not have had a better outcome. Ty’s trust and confidence throughout the whole matter was not only satisfying in its result but he really helped and focused on making me relaxed and calm in court. Could not recommend Ty enough!
Waste of Money really. 15 min consultation - once Pat realised I wasn’t interested in suing just yet only wanted advice he cut it short. Was friendly to talk to though and told me to call back if I had any further drama and he would continue the consultation then. 5 days after trying to contact him again Pat never answered the phone, never replied to a text and never called back after calling his office. My situation was a contractor holding my project to ransom and it was extremely frustrating not being able to get in touch within a reasonable timeframe. Like others have said. Consults are short, and getting back in touch is next to impossible. Wouldn’t bother again.
Well being the first time I've needed a lawyer in my life and only briefly going through the situation and what's needed to be done before the matter is heard in court has been a positive one that's left me with a clearer picture and has put my mind at ease somewhat. Initial phone appointment lasted 26 minutes and 24 seconds. After reading other peoples experiences it doesn't matter if your appointment lasts less than half of the allotted time they don't credit or reimburse you. Lawyer seem great though.
Took 295 telling me they could help then on the day of consult advised otherwise. Paid for an hour got less than 30 minutes ! Paid for an hour and won’t reimburse me half ! Unethical and unprofessional- out to take your money so don’t use them. So many more professional lawyers who are honest and won’t charge unnecessarily unlike this firm
