I have now used Purcell Taylor for three conveyancing matters and they have been exceptional each time. The service they provide is fantastic.

A few months ago my wife and I were involved in a collision on the highway north of Ingham, where another vehicle hit the rear of our car, destroying it and causing whiplash injuries to both my wife and me. We realised that we needed legal advice on an injury claim against the insurer and Purcell Taylor was recommended to us and fortunately, we met Melody Cornish who provided us with useful advice and we were impressed with her friendly manner, clear explanations and honest and realistic assessment of our situation. The insurer approved some medical treatment for a few weeks which was of some benefit. After that treatment finished, we each received offers for settlement from the insurer, which was almost the lowest amount they could offer. We resisted as we were not sure how long we would suffer pain, nor how severe the injuries would be in the long term, although we were confident that in time we would recover. We were still unsure of our next step so we met with Melody Cornish again and she gave us more specific advice, still in the same professional and friendly manner as before. We worked out claims based on the advice and submitted our claims. Two or three weeks passed before we received a call from the insurer. The insurer’s questions were about the future medical expenses. We explained that costs are rising steeply and we didn’t know what the future held for us that they could send us to a specialist for further assessment. (We all know how specialists can chew up money, especially if an insurance company is paying). That afternoon the case manager rang to say that our claims would be paid in full. Amazing! We were paid in a few days. Melody Cornish’s advice was the main contributor to that result and it shows that if you have knowledge and the willingness to stand your ground (because insurance companies are only interested in reducing expenses), you can succeed. Without any doubt, the advice and friendly and genuine approach to our questions contributed enormously to the outcomes. The insurer was rarely easy to deal with and was annoying throughout. Remember, insurance companies have large legal departments that are there to frustrate us, so we need the best legal advice we can get. We did. Ross, September, 2024.
