I initially engaged Unified Lawyers and my matter was handled by Sophia, who was compassionate, responsive and professional. During her time managing my case, I felt supported and confident in the strategy being pursued. When Sophia went on maternity leave, my file was transferred to Justin. From that point onward, my experience changed significantly. I felt at times, the communication became limited and at times condescending. After losing confidence in the representation, I sought alternative legal advice. Within six weeks I was granted sole parental responsibility. From my perspective, the difference in approach, preparation and outcome was striking. I also paid $500 for a second opinion with Louise. Unfortunately, I found that consultation equally disappointing. I felt spoken over and dismissed, and much of the appointment involved reviewing documents I already had access to, without receiving meaningful additional insight. Parenting matters are deeply sensitive and high stakes. In my experience, the level of communication, preparation and strategic follow-through fell short of what I expected. I would not recommend Justin or Louise.
