I had a hour meeting to go over my needs, the meeting was 40 minutes. They said they would email the following Monday with details yo move forward with them and I never heard anything from them. I ended up with another law firm and found that the information I have been given by this firm was incorrect. I would not recommend them for any service.

Be very careful using this service for family law matters. After paying over $45k in 12 months for nothing but a below average affidavit and a mediation that would have gone better without them there, i terminated their services. I advised i am having their fee's reviewed before finialising the last invoice and they decided to hold ALL paperwork that has been already paid for and needed for a crucial upcoming court case. They do not care about the collateral damage this will cause a 2 year old child. They just care about their money. This is who they are as a firm in the most true form.

My experience with this firm has been terrible and extremely disappointing. I initially engaged Vanessa Hernandez; however, after a single conversation with her, my matter was delegated to her colleagues, who did not adhere to the original scope of work I had requested. Instead, those colleagues wasted time and financial resources reviewing court documents that were entirely irrelevant to the scope of work. I subsequently sent three separate emails to different staff members requesting that they cease work on my matter immediately, and refund the remaining balance of my retainer, however none of these emails were acknowledged or responded to. A week later I received an email response from Vanessa Hernandez, but only after I phoned the firm to follow up on the three emails I sent that weren’t responded to. Disappointingly, her reply did not address the concerns I had raised, nor did it acknowledge the actions of her colleagues. Overall, I found the communication, accountability, and adherence to instructions to be lacking, entirely, and would not recommend this firm whatsoever. I have filed a complaint with the Legal Services Commission to dispute the costs they are claiming for work I did not authorise. These types of firms think they run the show and can do whatever they want, and conveniently forget they are meant to take instruction from their client, not the other way around.

I'm very disappointed with Australian Family Lawyers Brisbane. They were nice enough to deal with but they didn't do much to help me with a stubborn ex-partner and a shark of a lawyer on the other side who were being unreasonable during the whole process. I spent all my savings to get nothing more than the lowest of my entitlement after my ex-partner managed to drain his bank accounts so there was hardly anything left to share. I had trust in the law. I don't anymore.

Samuel has been truely amazing, without his guidance and legal expert advice, we wouldn't have managed thus far - we cannot thank him enough. Hannah too has been lovely setting up appointments etc. 😁 I would highly recommend contacting this firm if you're needing expert legal assistance, and we think the pricing is very reasonable also.
